Leibinger in Berlin

Swabian specialities like "Maultaschen" (pasta pockets) and "Spätzle" (noodles) have become real delicacies in recent years in Berlin, resulting in at a few restaurants in the capital now specializing in Swabian cuisine.  Since 2002, the Leibinger Brewery has been ensuring that Berliners are also well supplied with liquid refreshment from the Swabian countryside. What began as a casual business arrangement with the Stopper brothers, who chugged along in their old truck from Swabia to the capital to sell their beer mats, has now become an important sales market for the Ravensburg family brewery.

The Stoppers then opened a beverage store in the harbor area in Berlin, selling Leibinger Seeradler among other things, and began to have more and more customers. "Intertank", a trendy bar in the Kreuzberg district, was the first to come on board. Other restaurants and bars followed, including the Filmcafe and Bar 25, a Techno club on the banks of the Spree, which was one of the hippest clubs in the city before it closed in 2010.

Like Winkelmann Beer Wholesaler in the Berlin district of Reinickendorf, it was possible to have a beverage wholesaler who could successfully sell the whole range of Leibinger beers in kegs and bottles. Due to its growth in volume of sales, Leibinger Brewery now even has its own sales representative based in the capital. For the past three years, Leibinger has also attended the annual Berlin beer festival, which takes place in August and at which just fewer than 300 breweries from 80 countries show what they have to offer. The brewery even had its own stand at the "Internationale Grüne Woche", the largest food, agriculture and gardening exhibition in the world, which took place in Berlin in January 2012.
